Acacias 38, the series produced by Boomerang TV for TVE, has premiered with strong ratings on Mediaset Italia's Canale 5.
The series, which is broadcast in Italy under the title Una Vita, led in its time slot by a wide margin, drawing 2.63 million viewers and a 20.83% audience share. Taking the previous Monday as a reference, the series grew over 3 points compared to the ratings obtained during this afternoon time slot on the same day last week.
The warm welcome Acacias 38 has received in Italy comes in the wake of the success enjoyed by other Boomerang TV series in Italy, such as The Secret of Old Bridge , which has been running on the same Mediaset channel for two years. Known as Il Segreto, the series has also become a social hit, sparking a huge fan phenomenon.
The Boomerang production has also inspired merchandising products, including an official magazine and a sticker album, and the Spanish actors that star in it are very popular among Italian audiences and are often invited to participate in different programs on the Italian network.
Acacias 38, which premiered on TVE last April, features the crossed lives of four bourgeoisie families and their maids in a stately building in a big city at the end of the 19th Century, starring Sheyla Fariña, Roger Berruezo, Sara Miquel, David Muro, Iago García and Jaime Olías.
