Kabel Deutschland increases customer figures

Germany's largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland has won a total of 84,000 new internet and telephony customers in Q2 of its fiscal year 2013/14, resembling the strongest customer growth in a second quarter for years, the company announced in Munich.
In Q1 only 71,000 new customers were acquired for both services. 55,000 new customers signed up for the pay-TV packages and PVR between 1 July and 30 September. In Q1, only 24.000 new customers were recorded for pay-TV and PVR.
Kabel Deutschland also confirmed that the take-over of the company by Vodafone will - as expected - take place on 14 October 2013.
