Movies! Network adds TV affiliate distribution

Movies! Network has signed new affiliation agreements with three local TV stations in the United States. The addition of these brings clearance for Movies! to more than 40% of the country.
The stations are OTA Broadcasting-owned KFFV-DT, Seattle (DMA #12), WLWC-DT, Providence (DMA #53), Minden-owned KPXJ, Shreveport (DMA #82) and Suddenlink and Cable One cable tiers.
The Providence affiliate plans to launch 10 November, followed by Shreveport on 22 November and Seattle on 10 December.
"We're delighted to add the classic content of Movies! to our line-up in Seattle and in Providence, Rhode Island" said Carol LaFever, COO at OTA Broadcasting. "Weigel continues to innovate, and Movies! is a tremendous addition to their industry-leading classic television network, Me-TV."
Movies! is a classic movie brand that broadcasts 24 hours a day and features films from multiple studios in their original run times. Notable titles in the Movies! library include The African Queen, From Here to Eternity, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Bridge Over the River Kwai and The French Connection.
The Network launched nationally in May 2013 and is a joint venture between FOX Television Stations and Weigel Broadcasting Co.
