Eutelsat TV Awards honour satellite broadcasting

Now in its 16th year, the Eutelsat TV Awards will reward channels in nine thematic categories for their excellence in satellite broadcasting.
The winning channels will be honoured at a ceremony in Venice on 15 November.
This year's shortlist, which was established after the jury screened 100 channels from 20 countries, spans 12 countries including China, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, Turkey, UK and the USA.
According to Eutelsat, one in four TV homes around the world today watch satellite TV and this is predicted to rise to one in three homes before the end of the decade.
