Al Jazeera Balkans to launch in HD

Al Jazeera’s free-to-air Balkans news channel will broadcast exclusively in high definition (HD) from the Eutelsat 16A satellite from 1 July.
AlJazeeraBalkansAl Jazeera Balkans will join the TEAM:SAT TV platform operated by TEAM:MEDIA, which hosts 20 other regional and international television channels, the company announced alongside Eutelsat at the NEM media event in Dubrovnik.
Launched in November 2011 from its studios in Sarajevo, Al Jazeera Balkans broadcasts news and information in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.
Eutelsat 16A satellite reaches over 12 million direct-to-home (DTH), cable and IPTV homes.
