UAE telco du has unveiled a dedicated channel on its IPTV service for two of 2016’s most highly anticipated boxing matches, starting on 10 April with Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley.
The bout, which welterweight champion Pacquaio claims will be his last professional fight, will be available on channel 500 to all du TV subscribers at no extra charge.
The channel will also broadcast the face-off between the bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire and Zsolt Bedak on 23 April.
In addition to the fixed IPTV service, du customers on the move can take advantage of the telco’s multiscreen service app, du View, which is available for mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and Xbox consoles via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
“We are uniting communities in innovative new ways by bringing them tailored experiences that they will cherish throughout the years. These world-wide pay-per-view matches, made available to all of our TV subscribers, reinstate our appreciation of customer loyalty and understanding of their needs,” said Samer Geissah, vice president consumer new business & innovation, du.
“Our customers continue to drive us to offer the best value programming across the du TV platform, including international premieres, popular movies and live sporting action for their enjoyment.”
