Eleven Sports prepares for Polish launch
Eleven Sports Network has secured a number of key sports rights agreements with MP & Silva ahead of its launch of two channels in Poland.
According to Satkurier, they include Serie A, Ligue 1, SPL, ATP Tennis 250, Arsenal Media and Italian volleyball. Aside from Poland, the rights also cover Belgium and Malaysia.
Eleven Sports Network is part of The Channels Co Ltd and plans to operate two HD channels in Poland. One (Eleven) will be dedicated solely to football and the other (Eleven Sport) both football and other sports. It will show over 2,000 hours of live sport a year in each territory it operates in.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the channels are expected to launch this August.
