SeaChange International has expanded its role with Belgian cable company VOO by enabling advanced multi-platform personalisation features of the new évasion TV service.
Specifically, the SeaChange Adrenalin platform in place for VOO was enhanced to introduce restart and catch-up viewing services.
Adrenalin also enables VOO to offer automatic bookmarking so that subscribers can pause a programme and resume later on a different device. The ability to record programmes remotely from a connected device for subsequent viewing via set-top boxes will be added to VOO this year.
Tamara Leemans, VOO's CTO, commented: "évasion is a major advance because it makes our experience highly personal and consistent across all platforms. SeaChange has played a big role by putting more intelligence into our operation to enable restart and all other functions to work seamlessly across different screens so that users can watch and enjoy our content wherever they are."
Jay Samit, CEO, SeaChange, added: "From the outset, VOO's multiscreen TV service broke new ground in the industry and this customer has not stood still. SeaChange is thrilled to collaborate on a large scale offering that demonstrates precisely how television service providers can adapt and compete for consumers."
