TV channels, manufacturers, broadcasters and advertising companies will meet to discuss the future of the hybrid platform HbbTV at a conference organised by AEDETI, the Spanish association of interactive TV.
During the conference, the German market research company GFK will present its figures regarding HbbTV penetration in the country.
Many big players in the TV industry will participate in the event. TVE, Atresmedia, TVC, Magicbox, Philips, Sony, Panasonic or IAB, among others, will share their experiences of the new standard, which combines IPTV, broadband and video-on-demand (VOD) in order to bring the Web into TV programmes.
The conference will be held on 12 November and will start with an overview of HbbTV's future opportunities for the industry, which will be analysed by representatives of TVE, TVC, Mediapro and Atresmedia. Afterwards, Ignacio López, manager at GFK, will present HbbTV penetration figures both worldwide and in Spain.
Some technical demonstrations will take also place, and Abertis, Philips, Televes, Sony and LG will be presenting new technologies and products available on the market. The developers will be represented by Magicbox, Optiva and Nagra.
The last word will be from IAB, Havas and NaturAD, which will analyse the advertising possibilities coming from this new digital environment.
