DirecTV to score in LATAM with UEFA Euro 2016

Preparing for a summer of sport, every network is looking to satisfy Latin America’s passion for football, with DirecTV announcing UEFA Euro 2016 broadcasts across the region.

uefa euro 2016The football tournament, which is being held in France between 10 June to 10 July, will air on DirecTV Sports throughout Latin America.

The pay-TV network, which will show all 51 games in HD, also holds exclusivity on 26 matches. In addition, DirecTV has set up a second signal for games being played simultaneously, so subscribers can decide which to watch.

In addition to live broadcasts, DirecTV is to deploy pre- and post-game programming, including news and highlights with the Central Deportivo team and analysis and debate with Futbol Total.

With this programming, DirecTV is becoming Latin America’s home of international football, as it is already broadcasting Copa America Centenario, the rights to which it shares with several local broadcasters.
