Moriarty new MD AMC Networks International – Zone

AMC Networks has appointed Mike Moriarty as Managing Director, AMC Networks International – Zone, expanding on his current role as Managing Director of the company’s Central Europe operations and DMC.

Dermot Shortt, formerly head of AMC Networks International – Zone, has stepped down and will continue to work with the company as a consultant, advising on various business activities.

Moriarty will be based in the company’s London office and will continue to report to Ed Carroll, AMC Networks COO. Eduardo Zulueta, Managing Director of the company’s Iberia and Latin America operations, and Bruce Tuchman, President of AMC and Sundance Channel Global, and the company’s Asia-Pacific operations, will also continue to report to Carroll.

“These management changes come as we further integrate and expand our international operations,” said Carroll.

“Dermot has made a great contribution to the growth of Zone over the past 13 years and we are pleased we will continue to benefit from his expertise and industry experience in a consulting capacity. Mike’s strong track record in programming and operations will bring continued strong leadership for our networks throughout Europe.”
