Pan Macmillan signs world publishing deal for The Returned

The UK's Pan Macmillan has acquired the worldwide publishing rights of the International Emmy-nominated Canal+ hit TV series The Returned (aka Rebound), produced by Haut et Court.
Author Seth Patrick will develop two novels taking and developing storylines from the first two seasons, with the first novel being published in autumn 2014.
Pan Macmillan has previously developed and adapted storylines from the Scandinavian hit TV series The Killing.
The Returned, known as Les Revenants in France, has become the highest rated original drama on Canal+. In the UK, the series was also the highest rated subtitled drama in since 2006, attracting an average audience of 1.8 million viewers in its prime time slot on Channel 4. Channel 4 has already acquired the series two, the shooting of which is due to start by the second quarter of 2014.
The Returned has already sold in over 30 territories including the USA (Sundance Channel, Music Box), Canada (Bell Media, Radio-Canada, tou.tv), Australia (SBS), Latin America (HBO), Sweden (SVT) and Israel (Hot).
